Try formatting USB drive with FAT32 file system.įrom Windows ISO file copy BOOT and EFI directories to the USB drive.Ĭopy files bootmgr and bootmgr.efi from the ISO to the root of the USB drive. I've created a memtest86 bootable usb to test ram and cpu and after hours of tests I've had zero errors. The bios/uefi menu shows every device connected. After I turn the power on, I am seeing the asus logo, then it shows the windows logo for a couple of seconds with the dots swirling, then it's back to the asus logo, then it's back to the windows logo, and essentially it's another loop. I am putting it first on the priority list and I disable the boot from ssd. I've tried with secure boot and fast boot enabled and with secure boot and fast boot disabled.

I've tried multiple isos downloaded from the official site and from less official sources. After that I was stuck in an eternal boot loop on the asus logo with "preparing for auto repair".Īt that point I couldn't get into windows recovery options or windows, so boot from usb was my only option. It was going fine until it crashed halfway through with a blue screen "memory management" error or something(can't quite remember).

After I lost all hope, I tried the reset this PC option while also deleting all my personal files. Scannow and startup auto repair were unable to repair all files. I had tried safe mode, startup auto repair, sfc scannow and lastly reset PC. All of these things led to blue screens with "critical process died" errors.

Eventually browsers started crashing and closing immediately as well. Browsers gave me "status access violations" errors when trying to access any website, games crashed on startup with "fatal error". Initially I had a couple of crashes and errors in applications and games, which quickly led to windows being unstable and unusable.
